PETE'S SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGNS

As you have read already, Pete has fought many campaigns, and some are ongoing. However, he has had several successes, the biggest probably being the introduction of The One-Parent Family Allowance in 1971.

Pete discovered a thriving colony of cowslips on the planned site of Asda and Stevenage College, forcing planners to re-site them.

Finally, in 1998, geologists agreed with him - yet they still continue to test these weapons.

THE MAGIC OAK TREE THAT SAVED MONKS WOOD
Here. Pete, with his colleague Sukianna Cobham, found an ancient Oak Tree in Monks Wood Stevenage, proving that the wood was ancient woodland.

This forced planners to modify the site extension for the Stevenage Borough Football ground.
